DESCRIPTION
This 2-day workshop is designed for new or current software developers transitioning to a project management role. Participants will learn about project management stages, methodologies, stakeholder management, project scope, and project closure techniques. They will also learn how to create a project charter and risk register, assign tasks using the Power Matrix, use project management software tools, and apply the Scrum methodology. Assessment criteria include preparing a project charter and risk register, planning and assigning tasks, using project management software, writing user stories, and applying Scrum to a project.
This course is designed for two groups of people:
- New hires or existing employees who have been assigned to lead or manage a new project in software development, and Software developers who are interested in transitioning into a project management role.
- It is suitable for individuals who have some knowledge and experience in software development and want to gain a better understanding of project management concepts and tools.
